Restore a Hosted Website From Backup
Use this feature to restore your hosted website to a previous backup from your IO account. Backups are created nightly for websites hosted by InflatableOffice.
Prerequisites
- Your website must be hosted by InflatableOffice.
- You must be able to log in to your IO account.
- Be aware that restoring a backup will replace current website content with the selected backup version.
How to Restore a Website Backup
- Log in to your IO account.
- Go to Settings > WordPress.
- Open the website you want to restore.
- Click Show Advanced Options.
- Scroll down to the Restore From Backup section, and click Show Backups.
- Find the backup date you want to restore, and click Restore next to that backup.
- Confirm the restore in the popup window.
- Wait a few minutes.
- Refresh the page to check whether the restore has completed.

- Revert recent website changes that caused layout or content issues.
- Recover the site after a plugin, theme, or page edit caused problems.
Troubleshooting & FAQs
I do not see the Restore From Backup section.
This feature is only available for websites hosted by InflatableOffice. If your site is not hosted by us, backup restore options will not work.
I clicked Restore, but nothing seems to happen.
Wait a few minutes, then refresh the page. Restores are not instant.
The site still looks the same after the restore.
Your browser may be showing a cached version of the site. Try a hard refresh or clear your browser cache, then check again.
Will this restore my entire website?
It restores the website to the selected backup version. Any newer changes made after that backup will be removed.
How often are backups created?
Hosted websites are backed up nightly.
