Website - Page Syncing to Wrong URL

Check the URL the easy way (recommended first)

  1. In IO, open the item or category and use its link to open the synced WordPress page.
  2. Compare that page’s URL to the URL you expect to be used on your site.
    • If they’re different, continue below.

(Finding the page when search is poor)

  • In WordPress → Pages → All Pages, use your browser’s Find ( Ctrl/Cmd + F ) to look for the item/category name.
  • Usually in cases where the IO link to a page isn't the same as the expected link, the page has become decoupled from our sync process and a new page has been generated to replace it so all versions of the page need to be permanently deleted for the URL to regenerate properly. (Make sure you find and delete all of the duplicate pages.)
  • If an Elementor banner hides the normal controls, you can click an Edit with Elementor button and then cancel the edit to land on the page record.

Fix the URL

  1. Trash the incorrect WordPress page for that item/category, then navigate to the Trash section and permanently delete it from the Trash.
  2. Run a Force Sync from IO to regenerate the page with the correct slug.
  3. After the Force Sync completes, clear browser cache, then clear server cache.
