WordPress - Relaunching a Different Site Theme

Relaunching your site on a new website theme: Everything You Need to Know

At InflatableOffice, we understand that you may wish to refresh the appearance of your website with a new theme from time to time. This article provides you with all the necessary details for relaunching your theme and what to expect during this process.

This article is only applicable if you have a live website launch on a domain currently.

Cost Implications:

  1. If you have already launched a free website theme, you have the opportunity to relaunch a different theme. As a one-time courtesy, we'll do this for free.
  2. However, after this initial complimentary relaunch, subsequent theme changes will attract a fee of $50 for each relaunch.

Important Considerations:

  • Starting Anew: Every time we launch a site for you, it is essentially a fresh start. You're beginning from the ground up.
  • Inventory and Categories: The good news is that your inventory and categories will not be affected. They will remain intact since they are synced with our software.
  • Site Customizations: Any customizations or changes you made in specific areas of your previous site will be lost and will need to be redone. These areas include:
    1. Design changes: This comprises photos, text, colors, and the general arrangement of elements on the page.
    2. Shopping cart settings: If you've made any tweaks to your shopping cart or integrated plugins, these settings will also reset.

Steps for Relaunching Your Theme:

  1. Generate a New Theme: First things first, you'll need to select and generate a new theme for your website. Detailed instructions on how to do this can be found at Creating a New Site Template.
  2. Customize Your Theme: Before you go live with the new theme, ensure that you've made all necessary customizations. Remember, any modifications you made with the previous theme won't carry over.
  3. Launch Your Website: Since you already have a site live you will need to send an email to our web team in order for us to launch the new theme instead of the one live currently.

We're here to support you every step of the way. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please reach out to our support team. Remember, your website represents your brand, and we're committed to helping you make the best impression possible.
