Website Log into WordPress Admin from IO

In IO, use the “Website” option at the top of the UI to try an admin login to the site.

If you can’t get in, the sync won’t work reliably until the site’s special “io” user account is correct, so let's check in to that:

3a) First we need to verify the “io” user credentials

  • IO → Settings → WordPress → Advanced: note the IO Username/Password shown there.
  • WP Admin → Users: find the “io” user and make sure username & password exactly match what IO shows.
    • If needed, copy/paste the values from IO into the WP user to fix a mismatch.
    • If your site is hosted by IO and you’re stuck, Support can reset the password via CLI on IO servers.

3b) Verify “io” user role = Administrator (user can check this)

  • In WP Admin, open Plugins.
    • If you cannot see “Add New”, you’re likely not an admin.
  • Also check if the Users menu is missing — another sign you’re not admin.
  • Make the “io” user an Administrator (needed for proper troubleshooting and generally expected for sync management).

3c) IO plugin “Setup” screen (quick mismatch check)

  • In WP Admin → IO plugin → Setup, ensure “IO Username” matches exactly the username in IO.
    • Mismatches here break things like contracts, quotes, availability checks, live pricing, etc.
  • Also check the "Client Credentials" near the bottom of the screen because these also need to match what is listed in the WordPress settings of Inflatable office
