Languages Settings

The Languages settings page lets you change the customer-facing wording of buttons and error messages so your website text matches your language, tone, and brand.

Prerequisites

  • An active InflatableOffice/EventOffice account.
  • Permission to access Settings for the account/location.
  • A clear idea of which customer pages (quote form, cart, payment, contract, etc.) you want to adjust.

Accessing the Languages Page

  1. Log in to your InflatableOffice/EventOffice account.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Open the Languages settings page.

Editing Button Text and Messages

  1. On the Languages page, locate the text you want to change (for example, a button label or an error message) in the list.
  2. Click into the text field for that item.
  3. Enter your preferred wording in the language and tone you want customers to see.
  4. Repeat for any other buttons or messages you wish to customize.
  5. Save your changes on the page.
  6. Visit your customer-facing pages (quote form, cart, payment, contract, etc.) to confirm the new text appears as expected.

Creating or Customizing Error Messages

  1. Find the existing error message that corresponds to the situation you want to improve (for example, required field, invalid date, payment issue).
  2. Rewrite the message to be clearer and more helpful for your customers (e.g., explain what went wrong and what they should do next).
  3. If your account allows adding new error messages, use the available option to add a new entry, then set:
    • The internal name or key for the message (for system use).
    • The customer-facing message text.
  4. Save your changes and test by triggering the relevant condition on your website (for example, submitting a form with missing data).

Feature Options & Parameters

  • Customer-Facing Language
Adjust the text shown to customers on online forms, quote pages, carts, and payment pages so it matches your preferred language and brand voice.
  • Button Labels
Customize labels such as “Add to Cart,” “Continue,” “Submit,” and similar buttons used throughout the customer interface.
  • Error & Validation Messages
Control the wording customers see when:
    • Required fields are missing.
    • Invalid values are entered (dates, times, addresses, etc.).
    • Other issues prevent them from continuing or booking.
  • Custom Error Messages
Add or refine messages to give more specific instructions, reduce confusion, and direct customers to next steps (for example, how to adjust their event time or payment details).

Use Cases

  • Supporting other languages: Replace default English text with another language so your quote and checkout experience is fully localized for your customers.
  • Brand-consistent messaging: Adjust button labels and error messages to match your brand tone (formal, casual, playful, etc.) and provide clearer guidance when customers make mistakes.

Troubleshooting & FAQs

My changes are not showing on the website.

  • Confirm you edited the correct text entry on the Languages page.
  • Save changes and then refresh the customer page in a private/incognito browser window.
  • If you use a separate website (e.g., WordPress), make sure the page you are testing is using the integrated IO/EventOffice forms.

Does changing Languages affect my admin/staff screens?

  • No. These settings are for customer-facing messages and buttons only. Internal admin interfaces remain unchanged.

Does this automatically translate my site?

  • No. The Languages page lets you manually control the wording shown to customers. You supply the translated or customized text.

How do I undo a wording change?

  • Edit the text again on the Languages page and restore your preferred wording, then save.
  • If you no longer know the original text, you can create new wording or contact support for guidance.
