Workers App - Maintenance

Placing Items into Maintenance Using the Workers App

Proper maintenance tracking is essential for protecting your company’s assets and ensuring that equipment is in safe, working condition. Within the Workers App, workers have the ability to flag items for maintenance, keeping them out of rotation until they're repaired, inspected, or otherwise cleared for use. This not only enhances safety and accountability, but also helps prevent operational delays due to faulty or damaged items.

How to Add an Item to Maintenance

Adding an item to maintenance is quick and intuitive with the Workers App. Follow these steps:

  1. Open the Workers App
  2. Long press the QR code creator
  3. Search for the item
  4. Select the item and add in all required information; This includes the item name, quantity, check out date. (Notes, check in date, lead ID, cost, condition and attachments are not required but always encouraged.)
  5. Save (top right corner)

Removing an Item From Maintenance

Once an item is repaired, inspected or ready for use again, an authorized worker can remove it from maintenance status, returning it to the available inventory. To return the item back into inventory, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Workers App
  2. Long press the QR code creator
  3. Search for the item
  4. Select the item and check the item back in
  5. Save (top right corner)

What Does "Putting an Item Into Maintenance" Do?

When an item is placed into Maintenance through the Workers App, it becomes unavailable for future events and other workers will see that the item is currently under maintenance and will not be able to upsell the item. Putting items into maintenance is especially useful for items that are damaged, needing inspection, or are undergoing upgrades. This is going to be item specific and not the same as black out dates.
