Insurance - Completing Your Insurance Application
You can apply for business liability insurance from inside your InflatableOffice account. The application pulls information from your account so you can review existing details and answer the remaining questions.
Allow approximately 15-20 minutes if your account information is current and you have the required documents ready. Additional time may be needed to update your inventory or gather information.
Before You Start
Have the following information available:
- Your legal business name, any DBA names, addresses, and contact information.
- Your current insurance information and policy expiration date, if applicable.
- Your expected annual revenue for the upcoming policy period.
- An up-to-date equipment list, including manufacturers and replacement costs.
- Your rental agreement, liability waiver, and any applicable safety or operating documents.
- Loss runs for up to the past five years. Ask your current agent for these reports, even if you have been insured for less than five years.
If you are a new business or have never carried liability insurance, indicate that in the application. Contact REI if you are unsure which documents apply to you.
Open the Application
- Log in to your InflatableOffice account.
- Go to Settings -> Insurance.
- Click Add Insurance.
Navigation Path: Settings -> Insurance -> Add Insurance
Use the section links on the left to move through the application.
Complete the Application Sections
Applicant and Business Details
Review your business name, mailing and physical addresses, contact person, and other prefilled details. Complete the business ownership, experience, employee, payroll, and subcontractor questions.
Enter your proposed effective date. The application asks you to choose a date at least one week ahead to allow time for underwriting. If you need coverage sooner, contact REI.
Insurance History and Desired Coverage
Provide your current and prior insurance information. Answer the questions about claims and incidents that could lead to a claim.
In Desired Coverage, explain why you need insurance and select the requested limits. Let REI know about any requirements from a venue, customer, or state agency so the team can help you evaluate suitable options.
Operations and Party Equipment
Describe how your business actually operates. Include delivery and setup, supervision, customer pickup, overnight rentals, subcontracted equipment, and any other activities that apply.
Review every prefilled answer about inspections, maintenance, training, and safety procedures. Change any answer that does not accurately describe your business.
Attachments
Upload the requested documents in the Attachments section. Review any documents already included or generated from your account, such as your rental contract and revenue report.
The application requests a five-year loss run report for businesses with prior insurance. Other supporting documents are marked optional where applicable. If a document does not exist or you cannot obtain it, contact REI for guidance.
Revenue by Category
The application starts with revenue calculated from the last 12 months. Update these amounts to reflect the revenue you expect during the upcoming annual policy period.
Review the pickup, subcontracted, and other revenue columns for each category. Make sure the category total matches the projected gross receipts entered in Operations.
If the totals do not match, the application displays a warning and an Adjust numbers to match the projected gross receipts button. Review the category amounts after using the adjustment.
Important: If some of your business activity is recorded outside IO, include it in your projections.
Inventory
Review the equipment list and complete missing details, including purchase year, manufacturer, serial number, dimensions, replacement cost, and applicable operating limits.
Add any equipment missing from the application and remove entries that do not belong on it.
Note: Changes made in the application's Inventory section affect only the insurance application. Update your main IO inventory separately when needed.
Terms and Signature
Review the completed application, attachments, and terms before signing.
An authorized representative should complete the signature, printed name, title, initials, and agreement checkbox. Contact REI before signing if you have questions about the terms or included documents.
Save and Submit
- Click Save to save your progress.
- When the application is complete, use the arrow next to Save to submit it.
Important: Saving allows you to return later. Saving alone does not submit the application.
After submission, REI reviews the information and follows up about any additional requirements and available quotes. Coverage begins only when it has been bound and the effective date confirmed.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Q: I do not see Insurance in Settings.
A: Ask your account administrator to check your access. The worker permissions include Settings Insurance and Settings Insurance Applications. Contact IO Support if you still need help.
Q: Some prefilled information is incorrect.
A: Correct it before submitting. Prefilled information is a starting point and must match your business.
Q: I have less than five years of insurance history.
A: Request loss runs for the years you have been insured. If you have never carried liability insurance, select that option in Insurance History.
Q: My revenue totals do not match.
A: Compare projected gross receipts in Operations with the total in Revenue by Category. Correct the amounts and review any automatic adjustments.
Q: I saved the application. Has it been sent?
A: Saving and submitting are separate steps. Use the arrow next to Save when you are ready to submit. Contact REI if you are unsure whether your application was received.
