unread icon on phone for texts/calls

In the IO web portal the ? help icon in the top right will pop up a "New!" icon whenever there's a response to an open ticket. Can we get this same icon (or something similar) to appear on top of the Phone icon in the top toolbar whenever there is an unread text message or phone call?
I like this idea
If you have the crm, you can go to settings>general Preferences>CRM settings, or you can go to CRM settings under each worker profile and set notifications. One of the notifications is for IO Phone. You can even turn on browser notifications.

I do not have the CRM. Notifications are a basic function of a phone, and I expected to have them as part of the cost of IO Phone. That would be very disappointing if it is available as part of the CRM only.
