If you want something different done on this page compared to your other catgory pages let us know and we can put in a ticket for a developer.

Here's info on setting up packages: https://rental.software/support/knowledge-base/article/packages_1

Yes that would be great , I do want something different than my other pages ! Thank you for the link as well !

photo
1

Ok, you can go ahead and set up your inventory for the mechanical bulls. Then once done let us know what design changes you need

photo
1

Ok , I already created the inventory for the bulls

photo

Send us what changes you want on the category page for this

photo
1

Should I send it via email ?

photo
1

Yes you can reply to this

photo
1

Well , I wanted designed a certain way if that makes sense. Like I wanted a western background with bulls , a text explaining how the rental process works and how it works. Because I will be only renting out the mechanical bull for 3 hrs so customers have to choose a 3 hr time slot

So to sumarize it , Its more or so a digitally designed page

We estimate that creating a mechanical bull page will only require one hour of work. We charge $150 per designer/developer hours.

If you would like for us to get started on this we would need to know how you would like to pay for this (charge card on file?) and any specific content you want on the page.

photo
1

Yes we can charge the card on file , and will I get a certain amount of revisions ?

photo
1

Yes, we will do two rounds of revisions after the initial page build. You mentioned wanting a western background with bulls on the page and text explaining how the rental process works. Do you have any verbiage you want us to use for this explanation?

Also, is there any other content you want placed on this page?

Do you have any examples you want us to pull inspiration from when designing this page?

photo
1

Yes I haven't quite came up with anything on my own to reference it but I can look at some content and examples to help. I wanted to stick with a modern semi-aggresive theme with colorful vibrant colors

Do you have that Western text effect file or do you want us to replicate that style on your new page?

photo
1

I dont , if yall could duplicate it that would be great !

photo
1

You got it. I'll update you as soon as we have something for you to review.

photo
1

So what I have brainstormed as of now is the page having a western , vibrant look to it with 2 big pictures of the bulls and the call to actions underneath them to book . When they book they have to select a single day with a 3hr time slot for $400. If they want it for less than 3hrs that is perfectly fine but the price will still be $400. If they want it for more than 3 hrs its $100 per every extra hour

photo
1

Hello , any updated on the process ?

Your project is currently in the design queue. All custom work is done in the order received. While we can't give a definite timeline for completion, we hope to have this completed during the early part of this week.

Sweet ! Thank you

Joshua,

We currently have one picture of your mechanical bull. We can use this on your landing page, but it is the same image representing your mechanical bulls category and product. You mentioned wanting two large mechanical bull pictures on the page.

Do you have any others you want us to use? If not, we can find some, but I wanted to check with you first.

photo
1

Sorry , I think there was a confusion. I dont want 2 pictures of mechanical bulls. I was thinking of having a bull as the background image and the 2 bulls would be the products customers checkout. The background can be any bull really, I will look for some pictures of bulls for reference !

If it makes it easier we can also have a zoom call to have a more clear idea about the design !

I'd love to hear more about your vision for this page. Here is my meeting link: https://calendly.com/d/cqww-yvj-hrz/15minutes

Hi Joshua,

Our designer has completed your mechanical bull landing page. You can see it here: https://rodeo-rentals.com/mechanical-bull/

Let me know what you would like changed.

Thanks,

Shane

Hello shane , looks good !

Now the only thing I need help is trying to figure out is how customers can choose the 3 hour time slot they want to book it for

photo
1

Probably the best way would be to set up timeslots for your bulls. Here is an article with more information about how to do that: https://rental.software/support/knowledge-base/article/settings-timeslots

Hey Josh,

I see that you haven't set up your timeslots yet.

What 3-hour timeslots do you want set up?

Do you want the same ones set up for weekday as weekend?

photo
1

Hey Shane ! I havnet gotten a chance to set up those time slots i've been busy. I was thinking of having a full 24 hrs time chart in 15 min spaces. Then letting the customers choose the times they prefer

photo
1

starting at 8am and ending at 12am

photo
1

Okay, no worries. I was going to offer to set those up for you, but you may want to read a bit about timeslots first. https://rental.software/support/knowledge-base/article/settings-timeslots

I don't think our timeslots support 15-minute increments yet. 30 minutes is as low as they go.

photo
1

Ok I think I did it . Can you revise it and make sure i didn't screw anything up lol

I will check on it and let you know if anything else is needed to get it working correctly.

Good morning,

I made a Loom video about timeslots for your mechanical bulls. You can view that here: https://www.loom.com/share/423ded15e865448dbf3c2e71dcbc4ffb.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks!

photo

Ahhh ok , I had the wrong idea on how it worked then ! I get that but is there an alternative way of doing it ? I was thinking it would be similar to how a customer checks checks out the time for there event , if that makes sense . Because what im understanding is that im giving the customer the option to choose from the 3 hr time slot I allow them to , but I would prefer if there was like a dropdown menu with all the times and they could choose any time to any time.

photo
photo

Timeslots could still work for this, but you would have to define every possible timeslot available to your customers. Then they could select them from a drop down.

If you would prefer that they have more flexibility when reserving the bulls, you could allow customers to add the item like any other item. They would add their event times when booking, and this would determine their rental price.

photo
1

Hi Josh, I went ahead and charged your card for one dev hour. However, once you decide on how you want booking for the mechanical bulls to work, let us know. We can help with that if needed.

photo
1

Hey shane , how come the new designed page doesn't show up under mechanical bulls ?

photo
1

Hey Josh,

The mechanical bulls landing page that we generated isn't a category page. Generally, top-level menu items point to the category page for the corresponding category.

I've added your bull package 1 to your landing page. If you would like, I can set your mechanical bulls landing page as your mechanical bulls category page. This would make any links on your site for mechanical bulls go to your landing page. Do you want me to make this change?

photo
1

I guess im confused. Whats a landing page ?

photo
1

It's the page we created for you. https://rodeo-rentals.com/mechanical-bull/

photo
1

I understand that but what im trying to ask is whats the difference between a landing page and category page ?

photo
1

A category page is an auto-generated page representing all items in that category. It is generated when you create a category in IO and add at least one active inventory item to it.

A landing page is usually used in conjunction with a promotion, email, offer, etc. It is usually a sales-oriented page that a customer would see after clicking on an email or ad, etc. The purpose of a landing page is to convert a visitor into either a lead or a customer.

photo
1

AHHHH ok i see now. So anyone going on my website wouldn't see the landing page , they would just see the category page ?

photo
1

Correct.

However, we can make a quick redirect that would direct any visitors clicking on the mechanical bull menu item go to your custom page.

photo
1

Yes that would be nice

Also i'm trying to make packages (example- 1 bull 5 tables 30 chairs) and trying to divide the packages from the bulls but am having a hard time doing that , can you help me with that?

photo
1

I've added the redirect.

I will transfer this ticket to our support department so they can help you with packages.

photo
1

Hello Josh,

I've see you are started on the right path with this package. Can we arrange a time to meet to set this package up together, or would you have a moment to give a call to our support team? Here is our support page where you can find that number or schedule a meeting.

I can provide some written guidance and instruction if you prefer, but I think this kind of thing is much more easily done by sharing screens and going step by step.

Thank you very much shane
