Applying a special via automation

Hi IO team,

We've got a special (23539) which only applies when a certain optional field (130671) in a lead is checked. We've successfully used automation (20025) to check that optional field under certain conditions, but it appears that doing so doesn't cause the special to be applied to the lead. I see that we can open the lead and force recalculate, and then the special applies itself, but is there any way to use automation to apply such a special without admin intervention?

We now have the ability to create promos that include filters. We recommend you build filters to make the promo apply rather than an automation. Here is an article that reviews conditional promos and this one here goes over the setting for promos and fees but has some good examples.
