Am I missing something regarding IO texts?

We are trying to get used to your IO phone system now that we're paying dearly for the text message feature :-)

Is the ONLY way we can be alerted of texts via email? We do not sit in front of a computer all day, but need to know when a text comes in. Texting via email is very clunky (and supposedly the reason we were forced to switch to the new IO Phone system). Am I missing something here? No text to a forwarding number ? No app with forced notifications?

At the moment, email notifications are the primary notifications. We are working on an app update for this reason. Sending texts as emails did stop working because cell phone carriers started lumping them all in as spam, so we had to move away from it; but the alerts are still sent as an email at the moment. This will be changing in the future to be more streamlined.

We have an update likely being released within days (tomorrow?) that should improve replying to the alert email as well.

Any update on this? I had no idea it's been an unresolved issue for two years...will we ever see notifications in the mobile app?

Text message alerts are sent via email currently.

They updated the CRM module recently. IF you have the CRM you can set up the account to show text notifications in the IO header AND enable browser notifications. ALTHOUGH, I'm currently having an issue with it not being in real-time. Hopefully they fix that. What I mean by "real-time" is that I have to refresh the page to get the notification of text. AND I never get a browser notification for it. BUT it's progress.

Progress is better than no progress! I wonder if we'll see progress in the mobile app eventually...that's where I really want the notifications!

Yep. These steps are necessary to get to that point. I'm told.
