Hello! We are in the process of setting up our 3rd location as a venue. (GNS Creative Studios)

In it, it has an upstairs Loft. Our main room.

That main room has 3 packages (only have pricing for 2 currently).

We want customers to be able to add on a room, once they book one of the packages, we want to add these on starting at $200, then each will become cheaper and cheaper the more rooms they add on.

Could you help with this pricing structure, I have spent a couple weeks on it and cant seem to get it correct. This is what we have exactly....

Loft Packages:

4 Hour minimum Loft booking.

Standard package:

Mon-Thurs $900

Friday and Saturday $1400

Sunday $1200

Premium Package:

Mon-Thurs $1200

Friday & Saturday $1750

Sunday $1500

Room Add-ons:

One room: $200 each

Two or more rooms: $175 each

Four rooms: $150 each

Content Pricing:

Each of the four studios:

Mon-Thursday

$85/ hour (Two-hour minimum)

Fri-Sun

$95/ hour (Two-hour minimum)

The website may help shine a light on the structure and all of the inventory items are grouped as Event Experiences (GNS ) Creative Studios

I could get something like this to work

Did you want it to act as a discount or the base price changing?

photo
1

I think the base price changing. What do you think?

photo
1

I like things to act as discounts so the customer is aware of the price reduction

But how many rooms do you have?

photo
1

OK sounds good! Lets do that!

I can help but I'm not from IO; I'm just a user and I help people. I can hop on a Zoom with you and show you if you want!

Hello, thank you, we’ve been trying to get this location up and running for a little while now, at this point we need to see if we can just get someone to do it. Its our busy season so we dont have the time during the day to sit down and do it.

so going in and just 'doing it' is actually my business model if you'd like me to. I usually help out for free every once in a while if people any to learn how. But if you want me to just do it I absolutely can!

So creating filters for users isn’t apart of io tech support? They have done it in the past for us setting up the other 2 locations. I appreciate it but we pay almost 400 in subscriptions and we have been trying to get this done for a couple weeks so we can launch. Is there a way you can connect me to someone who works for IO to get it done.  I will definitely keep you in mind for some other things that we need to have done.

I get it, sorry this is the best place for that! Or emailing support

I don't know if they create custom filters; I'm sure they do to some degree but their support is usually about things not working correctly VS custom builds. Customizations at some point do cost money but I know they do it to help when they are quick and easy. I'm not affiliated with IO and can't help further in that sense.

Good luck though!

If you look in your filters you do have Monday thru Thurs, Fri and Sat, and Sunday filters set up. These are what you would need to for conditional pricing on these items.

Wow. ok. And how much would something like that cost?

You're welcome to give me a call, I have a couple of packages and options.

It also looks like Susan (who is part of IO and amazing) gave some insight

photo

Yes, Arshelle we are getting you going with the filters...next step would be the pricing on the actual items. Have you done conditional pricing before? Let me know which item we are working on first and we can get started

photo

I have not done conditional pricing before.

Here is a breakdown of the pricing:

Standard package

  • Friday and Saturday $1200
  • Sunday $1000
  • Mon-Thurs $800

Premium Package

  • Friday and Saturday $1500
  • Sunday $1200
  • Mon-Thurs $1000

Room Add-ons: $200 each

GNS Virginia Beach Loft (Content): $125 per hour (Monday -Thursday only with a two-hour minimum required to book)

Red room (Content): $85 per hour (Monday - Sunday with a two-hour minimum)

Glam Room (Content): $85 per hour (Monday - Sunday with a two-hour minimum)

Flex Suite (Content): $85 per hour (Monday - Sunday with a two-hour minimum)

Creator's Suite (Content): $85 per hour (Monday - Sunday with a two-hour minimum)

photo
1

We don't have a way of saying "2 hour minimum" We normally just set up first 2 hours at $170 and then every hour after at $85 per hour

photo
1

Ok, for the Loft (Content) keep that at $125 per hour (Monday-Thursday only)

and the content studios as follows:

Red room (Content): $85 per hour (Monday - Sunday)

Glam Room (Content): $85 per hour (Monday - Sunday)

Flex Suite (Content): $85 per hour (Monday - Sunday)

Creator's Suite (Content): $85 per hour (Monday - Sunday)

You may need to set up a meeting so you can explain how this is going to work. We need explained how this works one item at a time. Then we can set it up on one item and you can copy it over to your other items. Let's set it up on one item...which item are we working on? The Red Room?

photo
1

When is the soonest we can do a meeting?

We can start with The Red room and copy it over to the other room options, but The Loft (Content) space is different and has hourly rental options Monday-Thursday only.

photo
1

When I say copy over I mean how we did it...not the pricing exactly. I can send you the link...I am not sure when our first opening is. If you can explain exactly how the red room should be done that might be fastest

photo
1

Ok.

We have daily pricing for events (which is included in standard and premium pricing). And hourly pricing for content use only.

For content this room can be booked for $85 per hour any day.

photo
1

Ok, so the red room doesn't have any special weekend pricing or sunday pricing?

photo
1

Right now, no. But we may decide to change this later.

photo
1

Ok, then what item does have different prices for weekend?

photo
1

Just remember the red room, glam room, flex suite, and creator's suite can be booked hourly every day for content spaces. But they can also be rented as add-on rooms for $200 each for events.

The Loft can only be booked for a daily rental rate on the weekends for these prices:

Standard package

  • Friday and Saturday $1200
  • Sunday $1000
  • Mon-Thurs $800

Premium Package

  • Friday and Saturday $1500
  • Sunday $1200
  • Mon-Thurs $1000

And an hourly rate for the Loft for content (Monday-Thursday) at $125 per hour

photo
1

I think this is where the issue is...how do you plan on the customer being able to choose each? The room, the package etc? Do you have this set up yet? This is where I think you need a meeting. Here's the link

photo
1

Yes, this is already setup. The first attachment shows the categories for the events which is daily pricing under Loft packages with the addon rooms as an option.

The second attachment shows the content space options which should be an hourly rental rate, but the only difference is the loft is only available for hourly rental Monday-Thursday because that is the main event space.

So basically, each space can be used for events or content

photo
1

So the room are actually accessories/add ons to the packages?

photo
1

Yes, for events under Loft packages

photo
1

Ok, so take a look here...you would need to add on each package what the accessories are for each. This is how you create the package. Here is an article on this. Also, feel free to call in and go over this. I feel like this will be easier to explain to someone over the phone. Once you have the package built we can focus on pricing

photo
1

Ok, I will add the rooms as an accessory for the events but that is not the issue I'm having. I already know how to do that.

What I need is for the system to differentiate the cost of the space by the day. For example, if someone chooses the inventory item "Standard package" under the Loft Packages category, and they book the event on Saturday, that price should show $1200. But if they book on a Tuesday, that price should be for $800.

photo
1

This should be able to be set up with conditional pricing. It looks like we have a meeting scheduled with you next week to help you get this set up.

photo
1

Yes, but I submitted this request weeks ago have been waiting on a response/ update. I would really like to get this fixed immediately because it is holding us up from publishing the site.

photo
1

Setting up pricing depending on the day would require setting up conditional pricing on your rentals. Conditional pricing requires a pricing filter created from Settings-->Filters and set up with something like "Lead Day of Week" "Contains" "Saturday".

Please take a look at this article with video instructions on how to set up conditional pricing.

photo
1

Can someone do this for us please? This is out of my scope of work, we are in peak season and don't have the time to set this up. We've already been waiting for weeks with the impression someone was looking into this and going to fix it for us.

photo
1

Support helps build custom filters on occasion, but that is not typically what they do. They support people learning how to build their own customizations, and solve bugs/issues.

I'm around for most of today if you want to reach out and discuss if you'd prefer I do it; I will be out on Saturday and Sunday on events though unfortunately

We need to get the inventory/packages set up correctly before we can set the pricing. Did you add the accessories to the packages yet?
