Best Practices for Monthly Recurring Long-Term Rentals

I have a long-term customer on a monthly rental (billed in advance every 28 days). To avoid creating a new event/reservation each month, we've been extending the existing event's end date and charing their card on file for each new period. This works operationally, but I'm concerned it may not be the intended or most efficient way to use InflatableOffice.

I avoided creating separate events each month because:

  • I didn't want the customer to sign a new contract/agreement every time, and
  • I wasn't sure if I could charge their saved card on file in the new event.

The main challenges I'm facing are:

  • I can't easily generate an isolated invoice for just one specific 28-day billing period.
  • There's no straightforward way to produce a clean customer statement showing the full history of billing periods, invoices, and corresponding payments.

My questions:

  1. Is there a better/recommended way in InflatableOffice to handle monthly recurring rentals (e.g., long-term setups) that allows automated or scheduled billing, charges the customer's card on file (with their one-time consent), and avoids requiring a new contract signature each month? This would minimize manual work and customer hassle.
  2. Is there a built-in feature or report to generate and send a customer statement that shows the complete payment history (invoices + payments over time) for an ongoing rental? If not natively, are there workarounds?

Any guidance, best practices, or video tutorials on this would be greatly appreciated—thank you for your help!

Do you think this would work better for this? https://rental.software/support/knowledge-base/article/recurring-leads

Questions does the allow me to have the monthly period set to 28 days and not a calendar month? Will I be able to charge the card on file? Can I set when the first recurring period starts?

You can set it to recur weekly-->repeat every 4 weeks.

I do believe it will show the saved cc info on the recurring lead to charge

When you set up the recurring lead it will go by that date...so only set up once you are ready ...at any time you can make a regular lead into recurring. But once you do this you can have it happen automatically

I recommend setting this up on a dummy lead so that you can test it out first
