Surveys - Attach / Upload a File

Is there a way to add a link that will allow a customer to upload a photo or file when they are filling out a survey? I would love the ability to have it directly go to the Lead as an attachment.

This isn't possible with surveys, but you could create a quote update form template. This would require multiple steps to set up and the quote update page link can be added to your Thank You email template in the email center.

First you would want to create the Quote Update template under Settings-->Document Center-->Pages.

Create a new page. Make sure to create a new page group or this will not work properly. The page type is "Quote Update"

You can then add the upload file button that will allow customers to attach files to their lead. Please take a look at this article for more information on how to add an attach file button.

Once you have the form created you will want to edit the quote update form url by adding &qid=*leadid*&cid=*contact_id* after your page group name.

It should look something like this:

https://rental.software/quotes/quoteme.php?name=your_page_template_name_here&qid=*leadid*&cid=*contact_id*

Next, you can take the link you have created above and add to your email template in the email center.

If this will work for you, we can help create the page template and link. Just let us know if you have any questions.

This is cool!! Is there a way to display it using my URL instead of the rental.software one? I would like my standard Wordpress header and footer to be visible. Thanks!!

I can verify with our developers if that is possible. If not, you can also create a wrapper template to display a header/footer with the page content inside.

It's not currently possible Corey. I had to create my own header for it. We use several of these forms for all sorts of things.

I spoke with our developers. It might be possible with a link set up like:

https://yourdomain.com/io_quoteform/?io_name=your_page_template_name_here&qid=*leadid*&cid=*contact_id*

You would correct the wording I have boldened above with your own website URL and new page group name.

It would be best to test this out first. If the link does not work properly with io_quoteform, then Chad is correct, you would need to use the rental.software link with a wrapper that displays your header.
