Anyone use IO Phone to text Workers once they are assigned a shift? If so, how do you set it up?

What I'm really hoping for:

  1. Text sent to workers - "You have been assigned a shift..."
  2. Text sent to workers - "There are open shifts that need workers..."
  3. Text sent to workers - "Corey needs someone to take his shift..."
  4. Text sent to workers - "Your scheduled shift begins in 2 hours"

Anyone have any luck putting automations together for these types of things.... or anything I missed?

We have one set up. It's a template IO has available in IO Phone Text templates. But the rest are not available as I'm aware.

1) This is already active for you, it's the text message template "Worker - Shift Text Reminder" and will automatically send.

2 and 3 are not currently possible.

4) This one should be able to be done with a regular filter and automation. What are your expectations and do you have a text template started?

I thought the shift reminder was only a set number of hours before the shift?

Yes, I have a template started...

Sorry, for 1 you could setup an automation.

The filter would look something like:

Shift Modified Date/Time in Last 1 hours

AND

Shift Start Date/Time Over 1 hours in the future

4) This one is actually the text message template "Worker - Shift Text Reminder" and will automatically send.

Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks for the help!!! I'll get into it tomorrow. New question (if I need to start a new thread I can...) but the same functionality.

Is there an "easy" way to mass text ALL employees? For example: company announcements, links to training videos, etc.

Thanks!!

In settings>workers Just select the workers you want to text then select the dropdown and text workers.

For training, you could create a template with a template link. That way the link gets updated per worker. This would look something like "https://rental.software/survey/survey_display.php?surveyID=YOUR_SURVEY_ID&workerid=*workerid*&vendor=YOUR_VENDOR_NUMBER

You can get the survey ID from settings>survey's & Training>select the training and look at the url.

THe vendor number is easiest to open the training on your account first and grab it from the url (guess you could get the training id from there too)

IMPORTANT: Before you send out the text, make sure it's assigned to each worker or the link won't work.

This article HERE at the very bottom shows a video example on setting up a survey link.
