Lead Status - Filter Automation

Hello! If someone fills out my chat widget they go to a quote status. I have a filter and automation to switch it from quote to "Chat Request" but it's not working. I have these for my filters and automation... what am I missing?

You don't have to use automations anymore. they've given us the ability to assign a status on the form. Create a hidden field, make the value the status id number and the field ID should be leadstatus or something like that. You'd have to look up the variable in the template library.


As for your automation not working. your filter isn't picking up the lead for some reason. Make sure all the filter requirements are appearing on the lead. I.e. is the tag chat-form present? If not, you have the form set up incorrectly.

What Chad suggested would work without using automations.

If you create a hidden field on the chat form, go to the Advanced tab of that field.

The default value would be your status ID number. This can be grabbed by going to Settings-->Lead Status-->Chat Request. The ID number is in the URL when viewing the lead status.

The ID would be "elementor_statusid"
