I would like to know more about the custom email option.

My team is used to gmail and knows how to use all the tools. We also use plugins for Gmail, google docs, etc.

Can I have a custom email that's managed by google? Or what service will be used for reading, sending, etc?

Yes, you can use Google's custom email service as well. You would need to use their resources for configuring it.

Whichever email hosting you use, you would then update it in email preferences here, so that it is used for sending quotes/contracts etc.

What does the IO email hosting look like? Can it be used for non-IO emails as well as the IO emails?

I'm not sure I understood your second question, but it would be a an email associated with your domain like this: info@cosmicbouncehouse.com. You can also connect it with various email apps, just as you would with any other email.

We use Google workspace with our domain. It works amazing and we love it. If you have the CRM, you can have sales reps "check emails" in the to do preset on the organizations tab.
