Black Out Dates Change/Conflicts
Previously, if we blacked out a specific date, we could "force" rentals or events through by marking them as hold or contracted and they would show up as available, but that has now changed and we still see the items as conflicts. Also, if we black out dates now it marks events that are already booked with all of those items unavailable, when this was not happening previously. Is there any way to go back to the older setting? Whatever changed was recent within the past week or so and we've started to notice issues with it.
For example, lead #35585711, which has been under contract for months. We have multiple events that day so we've blacked it out for bookings and quotes, but that now shows that every item we already have under contract is no longer available. This causes issues with the clients as they see those items as not available, even when they are already under contract.
I am having our developers take a look and will let you know any updates.
Thank you

There is a box to Show Unavailable
If you have this box unchecked then it does not show the item as unavailable, but still warns the customer and prevents auto-booking.

Hi Nicki,
The developers are still looking into this.
Thank you

We've updated the blackout date logic, the example lead is no longer in conflict.

It seems we are still having this same issue with leads that are booked after a date is marked as blackout. In the past we were able to "force" through a lead even if the date was blacked out since some of our rentals can be picked up at our office and do not require delivery on the blacked out date. With whatever recent change occurred, those reservations we put through on blacked out dates are now showing as unavailable with no way for us to override that status.
For example, this lead #40626929. It was booked today, after we had already blacked out the dates, but since it's a customer pickup, it can still be accommodated. I did go into the blackout dates page and make sure the show unavailable checkmark was not checked, just to double check and it didn't seem to make a difference. Is there a way to fix that back to how it used to work, or to have some sort of manager override checkmark/feature to be able to show that lead and equipment as available? We're having to apologize to customers and explain about a software glitch that is preventing those items from being shown as available. Thank you!

In order to override the conflict created by the blackout date, you would need to update the lead status to a reserved status like Contracted or Confirmed and manually send the contract to the customer. The lead will not be able to be autobooked while in quote status if there is a blackout date/conflict in place.

Hello Brittany. We did both of those things on this particular lead. It was not autobooked. I moved the lead status and sent the contract. In the past, that has moved the status of the items from conflict, but it seems to not be working that way any longer and we've had this issue on several leads recently.

Our developers have rolled back the changes that were recently made to blackout date conflict checking. It should now be working the way it was previously.
Looking at your example lead, the conflicts are no longer displaying.
