The *reviews_ratings_link* variable is filling with just "https://rental.software/quotes/rateme.php?name="; for me. What am I missing to get it to work correctly?

I found the Reviews - Settings knowledge base article (linked below) with a video that shows in the first step that a Page Template must be set up for this whole system to work, apparently.

WARNING: If you already have a page on your IO website at /reviews, making a Page Template called "Reviews" will apparently PERMANENTLY OVERWRITE this page!

https://rental.software/support/knowledge-base/article/settings-reviews

Once I made the page template (is wasn't in the inactive templates for me to enable, like in the video) I added the default for the "Reviews and Ratings" page type. It added the stars and looked good.

Took a minute to realize that the link to the review page was listed there on the page by "Link"

Now that I've done this, the link does automatically populate in the *reviews_ratings_link* variable just fine.

This link will only work if you are emailing it this link to a customer through their lead. What template are you adding this to?

A text message template, sent through their lead.

What's a lead # that this was sent to? Thanks!

I discovered the solution and posted below.

The issue was apparent whether actually sent to a lead or just loaded into the text editor via a template with the variable (which was filled with the incomplete URL).
