Worker Email Integration

what is the benefit of this? We already set up each workers email when we set them up in the workers section with permissions etc?


  • Email: Workers can now configure their own IMAP integration (in Workers Site)


Does this have a permission setting that we can turn on and off? So they cant switch it without us doing it for them? I dont want our staff using personal emails i want them all through our company email for tracking if needed

Some of our users have things going through someone personalized inboxes and only the worker knows/keeps up with their password. If they make a password change, they'll need to update their settings. And now the Admin won't have to deal with it.

Keep in mind some of our users own nation wide franchises. These smaller branches have tight in house operations and don't want to need to contact the system admin in another state to update their settings for them.

There isn't a permission setting for this, but it still be editable and visible to you if they change the email to a different email address in their worker profile.

OK GOTCHA...

i totally understand nationwide companies..

can we have an alert or something if someone changes there email emailed to the admin so they can make sure everything is updated correctly..

my concern is someone changes something and then the emails to staff quit going because of some entry error or something that we need to be aware of.

i just worry we end up with staff not showing up or accepting shifts

The imap settings are the CRM tab purposes for sales reps to make sure their emails are getting logged in the CRM tab when they send/receive an email from a customer. The workers have always been able to edit their contact info, and you have an alert turned on that will notify you:


Worker: Account Updated

ok the dreaded change happened and when my staff changed his email all of his shift reset cause him to not have email reminders .. it also set all the shift he already accepted to un accepted and its like starting over..


this needs a persmission bad or someway to turn it off as the admin..


the only reason i caught this is i was changing his shift and noticed it was not accepted... then when i tracted back i found out why.


i guess this feature could be great, but only the admins should be able to make the changes so they are aware of what is going on..


PLEASE MAKE THIS A FEATURE FOR ADMINS ONLY AND OR PERMISSIONS

I'll update the task about making this a permission, but we should also look into making sure when a worker does change their email, it doesn't mark their accepted shifts to not responded.


You should have also received an alert from the alert "Worker: Account Updated"

Can you email us some details on this particular worker:

Worker name/username, date/time they changed their email (so we can check the alert sent properly to you), a lead/shift they perviously accepted that got marked as unaccpeted.

Taylor Nichols the shifts was for 4/29 and on..


i have deleted the shifts and they have not been assigned to ERIK Coon but at least you can look


also the shift that he kept since the change was today City of Hurricane and Les Smith and also tomorrow heather brightwell shift
