When adding accessories and I click show accessories as separate items

This hides the main items and I understand but why? Does that mean I have to add the Sno-Cone Machine as an accessory?
I want them to be able to book supplies without the machine as well.

If you want to list the sno-cone accessories as rental units, you should enter them as rentals instead of accessories. You can still list them as accessories to the sno-cone machine. You simply select 'rentals' instead of 'accessories' in the drop down before typing to search for their name. You don't want to use the separate units option for this scenario.

We created a Rental Item called supplies only.
Then under that we enter all the accessories we want a client to be able to purchase as extras without getting the equipment.
