When a customer abandons an "auto booking", our inventory is reserved until we manually override?

Good example from today: 1463834

When they start the auto-book process, it turns the lead red "Manager hold", but doesnt revert back to a QUOTE if they don't pay the deposit. We require a deposit for the items to be held...any way around this?

Essentially, if they abandon their shopping card, the inventory is held for them until we manually come across the order and move it back to QUOTE

Furthermore, on this particular lead, the customer signed the contract without doing the deposit. So, she gets the confirmation email saying her contract was received, whereas she shouldn't get it at all unless she pays....

quite confusing for the customer, and us as well.

"holding" the inventory is controlled by the status settings. We don't have a way to revert a status down if the customer doesn't take action on the contract page.

The customer should get the "contract received" email if they sign a contract as this is the exact parameter of this email. You may just want to change the content of this email. You can note any deposit due and remind the customer their event is not confirmed unless they've paid a deposit.
