Vendor Availability Request

Is there a way to set these emails or have these requests show up in the overview section so we can then review the requests and then send out the requests to the vendor.

I just had an issue where the client wanted a Rockwall and now that I have it active it sent a request to the vendor but i don't want to have it sent until i have time to talk to the client.

Clients make strange requests and i dont want my vendors getting hit with crazy requests until i have had time to review the full order and request.

Overview seems like a good place to put this.

Also add a overview for when a vendor response so we can act accordingly to those too so we can update our records pricing if something needs changed etc.

Vendors will have alot of manual needs available but we need to know what is going on to react.

I'll have to think about this one more, but in the meantime, the Auto Email tab of the lead can be used to 'prevent sending' of the vendor email.

That would work but only after a client has created the quote... That is where the issues is..

A client creates a quote and the vendor gets the PO email before we have a chance to look at the quote. Also that method would require us to look at every quote as it comes in to confirm if any sub items are on there and then set the email options and then also decide which sub vendor we want to use etc.

With no notification coming to us via overview screen or emails or something we have to look at every quote. During hours that is not always an issue but after hours we could be sending vendors a ton of requests for stuff we might not want to etc.

That is why i suggested a hold on vendor emails until such time the company could review and make intelligent decisions about who what where when why how on the vendor needs of sub items. With that hold we need some type of notification so we know what orders to review.. Similar to when a client tries to book to close to the date we set up we get the message about auto booking to close to date message.

you could use the same type process to check for vendor PO needed per order, if yes hold process would be invoked we would get an email and the order would show up in overview section with some message about VENDOR PO NEEDED etc.

It's a good idea. We are working on a solution.
