User Log Out Time Limit

Is there a setting or could there be a setting where we can set user default log out time or system wide log out time or inactivity? We have run into a couple issues where someone logged into a terminal made some adjustments or did something to an order at the counter and had to use their log in because of permissions etc. Then forget to log out and the other staff then has access to their permissions and or makes orders changes etc and it looks as if the other person is doing it in the log.

We can set a timeout for your account. The person we made it for isn't using it anymore. I'm not sure how well it works. It may limit your problem, but not completely solve it. The user needs to remember to logout. It may cause frustration with other users that want to remain logged in on their computer for long periods even if inactive.

Is it an overall time out for the account or by user?
