Tax Cloud Question: Cancelled Order
Answered
Lead: 2534329
Customer had already paid in full, the order was cancelled and a refund was provided but I do not see the reversing entry to Tax Cloud in the log, nor the reversing entry when I log into my tax cloud account. How can I ensure this tax liability is
relieved?
Thanks.
Cancelling the order doesn't assume you refunded the payment. You can either delete the payment on the contract tab or enter a new negative payment for the amount you refunded, or for taxcloud, you can go to the Log tab of that lead and you'll see there is a Return link next to the payment that you can click.

The refund is logged on the contract before it was moved to a cancelled status (came through paypal). When a refund is entered, will I still need to do the return through TaxCloud?

I don't think our code handles paypal refunds automatically, so you you'll probably have to use the Return link on the Log tab.
