Task issues
Answered
We have tasks for our staff to call clients and etc and set to weekly incase they fail to contact them etc.
here is an example
1569002
it was already marked as completed but it still shows up on the tasks list of todos.
and on the lead it has the note on there too
it has been marked as completed because i did it myself so its not them saying they did it.
how do i fix it so when its marked it deletes totally so we are not revisting the same client
after further review this is what i came up with
it looks like when you set a repeat for weekly.. it creates all those to do tasks before the actual date passes
example you set a weekly remind for 9/1 weekly until handled
it then creates the reminder task for each week even though you might have handled it on 9/1
then you have to go into the task and mark each one as complete for every week it generated one for

This was intended to recur as you are seeing. If you fail to contact a customer, rather than mark the task to complete, we would have expected you to push the date back of the task to try it again at some point. Perhaps we need some more input here though similar to how most calendar programs handle recurring events when you make changes: "you are making changes to a recurring event. Would you like to change all future events or just this one?" Currently our software handles it as "just this one," so I'll talk with the team about how we can improve it.
