Surface Fee Characters

We tried to alter the wording associated with our surface fees in order to distinguish between normal event hire products and inflatables/marquees ie. an inflatable should incur a fee but a table and chair should not.

So we tried to create one surface fee that said:

Outdoors on a hard surface (Inflatable or Marquee - add $35)

and

Outdoors on a hard surface (standard event equipment - add $35)

After saving, half the characters are chopped off and you can't read the full description properly. It can't be a character limit because the other surface descriptions are longer than the chopped off ones.

We also removed commas, plus signs etc as they seemed not be accepted either.

Attached is a screenshot of what happened after we created them (n.b. we've deleted and reverted them back)

Where are you having issues seeing the full description?

When I added Outdoors on a hard surface (Inflatable or Marquee - add $35) and saved it--it shows up for me. (I left it there for you to see) When you edit it, you aren't able to see it all because it has a smaller "edit box" area. But you can use your arrow keys to see the whole description.

When I am in the Surfaces settings I see the attached screen shot. Is this not correct?

I've sent screenshots previously but will send them again. See attached.

Shot 1 shows what it SHOULD look like. This is saved and looks fine in IO, HOWEVER when you go out and back in to the "surfaces" section in IO, half the text disappears.

Sorry about that, we were only able to see one screenshot the first time. It is because it is too long...even though when you edit it and it lets you have that many characters--the last few are getting cut off after you save. It was cutting off at an earlier point than other surfaces because there was a space there. I will let the development team know we may want to give more space for surfaces. In the meantime, I edited the one that keeps getting cut off-- you may want to play around with it to get it to look the way you want.
