Setting up rental Items?

I was wondering what the best practice is for setting up rental items. For example should a Bounce use the package list section or the accessories section for things such as the blower, stakes, and extension cords. The reason I ask is because I don't think that you can set a quantity of total blowers, stakes, and extension cords in the package list section? This could cause a problem because if you book to many Bounce houses and don't have enough blowers etc it could overbook. With the accessories option I feel it wouldn't allow you to over book if you didn't have the blowers available because you can set the quantity owned.

This brings up another topic to for me. With my tents such as pole tents they all use the same side poles, center poles, and stakes but use different tops. I was wondering the best way to set these up? I don't want to allow me to overbook if we don't have enough side poles. I'm assuming I should make all the tent pieces minus the tops accessories so that the system can track the quantity that I have available?

Also I own many different size frame tents that interchange all of the parts such as corner fittings, mid fittings, like 10 different size poles and more. I'm assuming again the best practice would be to make all the parts accessories so I can track pieces between tents so I don't overbook them. Does this sound correct?

Sorry for the Questions, I'm almost in the process of imputing all my inventory into your system and don't want to get it wrong. I also looked into the Structure and Parent Child Options but felt those would not be a good fit for above? Please let me know what the best options are for the above.

If you don't need to track it, you should use the packing list instead of accessory. If you want to track your blowers, you should make them accessories. You can hide whether they show to the customer in the advanced section of the accessory under the "select pages" link. Just check the pages you want it to show on.


Many people keep their tent pieces together in the warehouse and just track sections like mids and ends. If you want to track individual pieces, you are welcome to through accessories.


Parent/child combinations would be good for advertising different tent sizes possibly, but not for tracking the pieces you mentioned above. Thanks.
