schedule under lead and delivery schedule

It seems like when I set a delivery schedule under the deliver tab that it makes it so that I cannot go back into the lead and schedule a worker. It only shows vehicles when you try to add a shift, not employees. Do you need to use one or the other? Can you link a worker to a vehicle for scheduling purposes? thanks

If you can give me an example lead, I'll check it, but I think I have some recommendations that might help. You can do your worker scheduling directly from the routing area. After you have filled your vehicles, you can click the little calendar icon next to the truck name to schedule workers. You should be able to schedule workers on a lead even after you route a lead. So, send me an example if this is still an issue. Thanks.

Ok, look at any of the leads from March 25 and try to add a schedule. It won't let you add anything but a vehicle. I tried adding a worker from the scheduling but it doesn't seem to save it. Each time I go back in to view it is gone. When the worker logs in to do his routes he has nothing on his schedule and cannot access the delivery info. thanks

You have to click the "Save" button on the whole page in order for the sheduled shift to get saved. Have you clicked the save button next to where the date range box is?

I was clicking the save button next to where the date range box is. Now when I do it seems to save it and show it in there and I can edit or delete it. After I do that I hit save for the whole page and then check it and it is gone, not saving it still

Usually if this is happening, it's because your shifts that you are scheduling do not overlap any blocks on the truck schedule. They must overlap at least one block to be saved. We need to get an error message up for this so it is clear.

Thanks. That doesn't seem to make a difference. I have started the shift before the first block, at the start of the first block, going to the end of the last block and past the last block. Still won't save. I'm not sure what you mean about an error message. thanks

Can you set up a sample lead on a day so that I can test it?

ok. Look under April 15, under Flat Run Church as a sample lead to test. thanks

Thanks for the example. Everything is clear now. When you have shifts scheduled, and click to add a shift, we assume it will be for the same position. So we only load workers/vehicles in that position. If you change the position to another position or to select... and then click the blue update arrow, you will get all workers in that selected position. Or if select... is chosen, you will get all your workers regardless of position.
