Restricting a date

Can I restrict quotes or have items show as not available for a certain date without putting them all into maintenance? I tried settings/online quoting but they still show up as available on the quote page. I do not have online booking enabled. I want the customer to see not available when they put in that date.

We have that on our list to do from some other requests. Blackouts are not checked until the form is submitted currently.
