I received an email about a quote generated 1463050. It was not generated by any of the sales people. So just wanted to know how or why this happened.

The customer could have done this by submitting information from the online customer quote form, but you have the setting in online booking turned off so that customers cannot see the quote automatically, it just submits the form to your leads.

How (from where) would the customer have gotten access to this link?

If a customer goes to an expired link (like a contract link that you've deleted), it has a link back to the beginning of the process (the quote form). For an example, open up any of your existing contracts, remove the last character from the URL and hit enter (Because of your inventory size, this page takes a while to load).
