Pop up window on "get quote"

Is there any way we can have a pop up window displayed when a customer clicks get quote on the quote request page?

It would be nice to offer an "add a second day for half the rate" option in a pop up window. We have the option on the quote confirm page today but customer just don't read.

Yes I can add this Pop Up for you but it wouldn't add the extra day the customer would have to do that manually. Would you still like to add this to your quote page?

We're really looking for a way to simplify the whole multi day rental process. The start and end date just hasn't worked for our customer base, for whatever reason they find it very confusing.

Is there any way to have just a single event date calendar field and then have a drop down for "number of days"? That way if they select 4/9/19 as their event date and then choose "2 day rental" the system auto populates 4/11/19 as the end date?

Then on the pop up window, we could display the number of days drop down menu and give them another option to select 2 day rental if they haven't already?

I see what you mean, we don't have this available currently but I like this idea so I'll add it to our product development system for a developer to look at as a feature request. But we could still have the pop up offer them the second day for the adjusted price.

Ok, thanks.

Could we add the pop with a "special offer" message that basically says you can add a second day for half the rate? So if the one day rental is $100, the second day would be an additional $50?

Furthermore, where we can't simplify the date/time completely, can we just get rid of the time altogether? All deliveries happen between 9-12 the day of the rental and all customer pickups are 9-10am the day of the rental.

I've added a pop up to trigger when the customer chooses the start date of their event that informs them they can add the second date for half the price and I also took the time pickers out. You can set up default times in Settings -> Delivery Methods for each delivery method. Let me know if you have a specific message you want to display here!

It looks like the pop up works but if you try to change the start date after selecting a day, the pop up window blocks you from changing it.

Also, can we default the event start time to 1pm? It looks like it's defaulting to 8am right now. Thanks!

I changed the default start time to 1 for your delivery methods, but I'm having trouble getting the pop up to work without blocking the customer from filling out the rest of the page. For now I've printed the message to the top of the page outside of the pop up, once we have the pop up functional again, I'll re-add it. Let me know if you need anything in the meantime.

Hey Matthew, I was able to work with Tim and have him show me what we can do to fix this pop up and we were able to make something pretty cool! Let me know what you think and if you'd like anything changed!

I like what was done for the multi day offer text.

Can you tell me if this scenario is possible to implement? Our customers are still too confused with the booking start/end days...

What if we only display the start date calendar on the quote request page and then under that or next to it can be a radio button or check box that says single day or multi day quote. If the multi day check box is checked, the end date calendar would then appear (kind of like how you're having the red text appear for the offer).

If the customer chooses to not check multi day rental, only the start date calendar would be displayed and we could just assume the end date would be the same as start date and end time could just be 11pm.

Could we do something like that? I think that would simplify the booking process.

I can talk to the team about adding this as a feature request, currently when the customer adds a start date it makes the end date the same day until they change that date. We could add in the current disclaimer to not change the end date if they want a one day event. Would this help?

It would really help if we could somehow hide the end date field until they specifically choose a multi day rental. We're just seeing a lot of confusion around the rental period.

Can we use the same method of displaying the text like you're currently doing and display the end date field on an event (like when multi day box is checked)?

This would be a little more complicated then the message we added when you click the start date but I have this in our development system so a developer can look into adding this as an option for the quote request page. I'll let you know if anything changes.
