We use the Lead ID as the Purchase Order number. It shows as the Quote ID on the quote page and the Order # on the contract template. But they're all the Lead ID and we do the same for PO # currently.

This sounds like you'll want to add it as a custom Optional Field. Hit edit and add a new one at the bottom. You'll want to use the "short text" type and check the box to add it to the lead. It will show up as a new field under the venue address on the leads page when editing a lead. It will display it's template variable after you're done creating it so that you can add it into the contract template or quote page template wherever you'd like.

But our clients give us their purchase order in which they are approved to use the funds?
