You have a payment type in the account labeled "????" first in the list that things are getting set to when the payment type is unknown. It's gettings entered as "PayPal", but you don't have a "PayPal" payment type in your settings->Payment Types. You do have "Paypal" but caps are important here.

Ok i fixed the caps style we shall see on the next one

why does it show one time as ??? and the other as paypal?

and when you go to edit they both show as ???

It gets saved to the database as "PayPal" so it displays that when you view it, but when you click "edit" the drop down only displays options you have in your Settings->Payment types list. At some point, the contract tab of the lead was edited and saved for the first payment to get ???? replaced

With the new OE interface will it pull names differently? will we need to update our payment type names? ie spelling, caps etc?

Also will the new payment interface include automatic card type completion and or fill in with icons logos etc or is that still to come down the road?

The autofill of the card time is still coming down the road. If OE doesn't fill in the Payment type correctly we made an error and we can fix it, but it should. It won't fill the card completely, because we won't store the card number, but you're able to recharge a card if it's been charged once before and hasn't expired (we save a token to recharge the card, not the card number itself).

Oh i wasnt worried about the card number im good with token etc that is how our current provider does now.. i meant the logo etc we talked about before OE came into the picture.

We talked about card logos on the pay screen for the client and also you mentioned you could decode the card numbers to know the type card and possible import a logo into the box now that show payment type and also allow us to have the option to add logos in our payment type settings for POs or other forms of payments we take just so it makes it easy to identify when trying to batch out against your daily sales.

breaking IO out as card type will be a huge help when you take 20-30 payments we dont always know if it is AMEX VISA MC ETC
