Payment Journal

Is there a way to have a report print out all the payments posted on a particular date?

This would be a huge help when you try to reconcile at the end of the day to make sure there are no funds missing, stolen etc.

I know at the end of the day we have a deposit but we have no way to track back if those funds are correct compared to what was posted to the accounts in IO.

A report like that would allow you to cross check the credit card charges, making sure they was posted to the correct accounts, also the same with checks. I know sometimes our staff as taken payments but either failed to post them to the account or posted them to an incorrect account. This report would allow us to check them daily and solve the issue before the client has an issue with a balance due.

Yes, you just need to enter a payment date range as a filter on the leads page, then run a customized report using the columns for "Payment Amount," "Payment Time," ect... You'll also likely want to add in some customer info and "Lead ID" to the report.

Note that a lead can have more than one payment on it, so you're going to possibly get more than one line per lead in this report.

That works great..

One question, is there a field that we can have in the custom report fields for USER?

Then we could check each employees batch for the day also?

Thanks

Are you referring to the user that entered the payment? There isn't a feature for that yet, you'd have to run that by the log tab of the lead. There is Lead Sales Rep though.

Yes I would like to be able to run a report and show who did the payment posting. I know I can run the payment report and if there is an issue i can go back to the log, which is great, but i was just thinking that since IO captures who did it in the log, would there be a way to get that info in a report.

I see the issue possibly with the USER id being used so much that it could become a cross reference nightmare.

I guess this is similar to my other question on Payment log.

The one issue i find doing it this way is i have to date range the full year or whatever time period because they date range is picking lead date range and if a client makes a payment for a NOV 20th invoice and we are tracking payments for APR 1st, then it wont show up because we didnt date range out to NOV 20th...

Is there a way to do it different? Like a daily payment log?

Select Payment Date instead of Event Date. Put your dates in, and then view the report.

That was the date range I missed
