overbooking
Answered
Hello, this is Suly from Empire Party Rentals Mass. We sell our Popcorn Machines alone of with servings already included, this is because sometimes depending on the customer we charge them for the servings or customer sometimes want to buy their supplies from some place else. Can u please explain why the machine is coming up as overbooked when in reality it is available. One example is lead #483423. He is the only customer with an event that day but the machine is coming up as oversold. When setting this up I used structure because we have 8 machines but the like I explained before we sometimes give the customer the servings for free. Please help. Thanks.
When using parent/child relationships, you only want to use the structure field when you have different possible combinations or parts of the parent that can go out separately. In your case, the popcorn machine and the popcorn machine with supplies are really the same unit. There are no parts that can be rented separately. So, you don't want to use the structure field. You were using it. I cleared those fields and now it is working the way you want it to. You may have to do this with other items. If you are unclear on when to do it, please ask. Thanks!
