Optional fields on wp checkout page

Need Answer

When I add an optional field to the quote form, I have to manually add it to the WP checkout page. I'd also like the field to be required before checking out. I.e. I added an acknowledgement field with a check box. It added to the quote page but not the wpcheckout page. So I copied and pasted the code. But I'd like customers to not be able to proceed with checkout until they click the checkbox confirming they acknowledge. But it seems they still can.

If I leave all my checkboxes unchecked and proceed with the order. It still charges the damage waiver. I click to edit the order and then it takes me back to the order page. The 2 boxes that add fees become checked and the rock acknowledgment stays unchecked.

The damage waiver box I have set to automatically be checked and they have to uncheck it.

Anyone checking in on this? It's been almost a week. Just wondering how to get optional fields to automatically show up on wp checkout page without having to copy them from the quote page.

Once you save your optional field entry and then go back...there will be an "add" button to add it automatically to the quote pages so you won't have to manually have to add it to them.

I am thinking we need to take the information out of the "default" info...normally in this case we would just put a "yes" there if you wanted it to default to checkmark and charge. If you want that information about the Damage Waiver on the quote page we will manually have to add it there this time.
