New Software

Hi there...currently testing new layout/software for backend and have the following issues:

- Our tax is set as disabled however it still adds by default onto a new quote. We have to click "exempt" for it to come off. We have a 10% tax in the system however need it to be built into the inventory pricing loaded ie. $275 already includes the 10% tax, NOT adds it after

Is this possible? Otherwise, how do we make it exempt all the time as our quote page already has the formula to do what we want ie. include the 10% in the rental price

- in the old version, once the address was input or altered, you could click "recalculate" and "update" and the delivery charges would reflect the update. When we enter the postcode into the quote in the new version, it doesn't update immediately as the system seems to wait for the yellow message bar however there is a delay.

If you update the postcode, hit save immediately without waiting, the charge doesn't get updated

- When you first add an accessory to an item in the quote page, the correct total doesn't formulate ie. we added 5 cushions to the pod seat ($5 each, total should be $25) but the total only showed $5 until we manually updated it

Also:

- Items used to be draggable inside a quote ie. you could change the order as to how they were displayed but we can't seem to do this now ?

- When hovering over a rental inside the inventory settings, it would show the sku number/rental number. This also doesn't seem to work anymore. How can we identify the rental id ?

The disable sales tax setting should now be working for you.

There is a timer that kicks off updating for most changes. I think it waits 1 second or so. It's so we know you are done making changes. We will work on a fix for those of you that are faster moving.

When you are talking about adding the accessory, you say the quote page. Are you doing it from your website? If you could explain this better, it would be helpful. I'm not finding the issue you are discussing.

We can't drag to change yet. You can click the item to expand it. Then on the far right you will see arrow buttons that can be used to move main items, not accessories.

Are you looking for the ID of the rental item in our system or the Serial Number?

Thanks Tim...

- Sales tax seems ok now.

- Timer was probably just a matter of getting used to it

- The expand thing on sku's. Thank you! That's fine...just didn't know about it:)

- Re ID - yes, the ID of the rental unit

We have a solution we are working on for the timer issue.

Not many people use the rental ID. Most will use the Serial Number field, which when filled in does show in many places. What are you using the ID for? If you expand the rental item, there is an edit button that you can click to go to the item. The ID is in the link. You can hover over the button and see the ID in the link or click to it.

I'm considering this closed unless you have more requests. Thanks!
