worker is Corey Jones, but his manager's reports are coming in under my name with an ip address which is not mine, and I suppose is his.

We do not require the worker to log in to fill out the manager report (the less barriers between the worker and their work needing done, the better). If they aren't logged in, it's because they got to the report by clicking on the secure URL in their email reminder, rather than logging into the worker site. In this case, we don't have the username of the person filling out the report, so we put the admin username in the log.
So, similar to the "date read/time read" in the email log, we log it if we know it, but we don't always know it.
