Multiple vendors same item

Occasionally we will have a vendor that is booked up on an item. Can you enter multiple vendors for a single item? And then have the option to select which on you a going with.

Yes. You will want to name the items the same. Make sure you've entered an item for each vendor. Then when adding it to the quote, pick the item that comes up in the search that has the (all) after it. This will send an availability request to all the vendors if you have that auto email on. Then you can pick which you want to go with later.

Hi, I am trying to use this function for the facepainter service I have listed under 4 different vendors. I select "Facepainter (Multi-Vendor)", but when I click the quote email button, only the one vendor shows on the email and only that email shows on the log. Is this normal?

Jessie, your face painter names didn't all match exactly match. They do now...this should work now.

Hi Susan, are you referring to the one that was labeled as "facepainter" as opposed to the others as "facepaint artist"? If so, that change was intentional as one of the vendors is a backup and not intented to receive the email. It is setup this way so that vendor will only get an email if they are specifically selected.
Does the multi-vendor email only work if the emails are sent automatically? Or does this function work when the quote email is manually sent?
