Is there a way to setup the pricing so that it gives a customer a 50% discount for renting items for an extra day day? So, if they rent a $100 item for two days they pay $150 instead of $200. Thank you.

There isn't a way to do it as a discount, however if you use the "price list" price type, you can set it up so that it charges:
up to 24 hours, the price is $100,
up to 48 hours, the price is $150, ect.
