item added not showing up on contract

When I add to the order the item added is not showing up on the customers contract and the total is not updated. How can I fix this? thanks
Do you have a lead ID? Most likely the issue is that your customer either signed the contract already, creating a snapshot in time, or you created a snapshot. In either of those cases, to get the latest data on the contract, you have to edit the contract tab and select the top, auto generated contract to be active, not a snapshot. You may have to clear the book date field and have the customer sign again as well.
