Issue with emailing quotes, right half of page cut off and not sure why

Lora C. shared this problem 7 years ago
Solved

Starting today, I noticed that the right half of my quote email is cut-off from view. We've made no changes. I need to be able to see what we're sending to ensure it's accurate. Cleared cache, same thing. Different browser, same thing. The emails come through okay to the end-user, but our staff needs to be able to see the entire email and edit as needed.

There are no scroll arrows either, to pan left and right.

There were a few items in there that had hard coded widths that were wider than our editor (ex: width=768px instead of width=100%). I fixed them for you.

Thanks. Was there a change recently that would've caused this to show up today? Never had an issue prior.

Thanks again.

Maybe, or it could have been a browser rendering change.

We are having the same issue within Solon's system. It looks like we can no longer edit the coded widths. Can you please address both the quote page and the contract header section please?

Can you direct me to specific examples? I can't seem to find the issue you are mentioning. Thanks!

Sure... most recent lead #1977651. When attempting to send the manual quote email, the table that contains the item, qty, and pricing extends beyond the width of the window. It is not possible to ensure accuracy from that window. Additionally, it looks like the width is also incorrect in the area directly under "Event End Time : 1:00 pm"

It's fixed. Thanks!

You have fixed the OMG quote email so that it displays correctly on our end when sending, however the contract page in OMG is still cut off. Additionally, the contract email in 3E is also displaying incorrectly.

I've removed some more hard coded pixel widths. That screenshot was solon's email, not 3E. These aren't really errors in the software as much as it is HTML that coded incorrectly. Our new editor uses more up to date HTML standards that the old editor did, and browsers and email programs are starting to drop support for the older HTML code. If you see something else cut off, please include a screenshot like you did with this reply. It was helpful in finding where the issue is.
