Is there a way to have what the customer paid to show up on the contract?

When a customer pays for the rental it still shows up on the printed contact with the full amount. I there a way that customer payments can show up on the printed contract?

Contracts are a snapshot in time. To show the amount paid on a contract, you would need to create another contract after payment is made. Make sure you include a variable in the template that calculates the amount paid or the amount due instead of the total.
