Inventory Count

How does inventory count work? First, Does a child item count as a second unit? I.E. I have 2 slides, both can be used as wet or dry. So I have a Parent item set up for the dry and a child set up for the wet. Does that count as 4 units or just the 2? 2nd, I set up packages as suggested by a previous question. Do those packages count as rental Items?

It's showing I have 48 units but I get 50 if I count out each quantity. I.E. counting my 2 slides I can rent as wet or dry as 4 units instead of 2. If those are not counted it would count as 48. But I did the same thing with a 3 piece 95ft obstacle course where I have the 95ft OC listed as the parent, the 3 pieces listed as child and structured to make the parent and then another child that lists 2 pieces as a 60ft OC. Is it counting ALL of that as individual rentals instead of just the 3 pieces?

Yes, each child item does count as a separate unit. One way around this is to add the item just as a "slide" or "wet/dry slide" and then add an optional accessory to it called "Use as water slide" that would have a price for however much extra the water slide costs.

If the Accessory items in the Package are utilizing the "Override Price" option, we do NOT count it as an item toward your subscription limit.

All the child items are counted in the OC as separate units.

The only issue would be that you couldn't rent the 95ft or 60ft by themselves but if that isn't an issue then you would be able to do this. If you want to offer the 95ft and 60ft as their own rentals then i'd recommend making then rentals.
