How do we put an item in if it is an item that is a combination of 2 other items
Answered
We have a slide and an obstacle that can be combined to create another piece. How do I enter the combo piece and and still have the ability to book the single pieces?
First, Enter the "largest" rental unit in (the one with all the pieces combined). Then, after it's saved, instead of clicking "new rental," click "Add Child" next to the edit button. Then add the individual inflatables that make it up as "child items." Once all the child items are in, you'll be able to edit them and add in their "Structure." This is a new field that appears below the rental image when editing Parent/Child items. The structure allows you to label the individual pieces, and then the software will analyze the structure to check availability. For more on what to put in the structure field, you can reference This Document.

The other items are booked as single units as well. Does making them children effect that?

And do we still have the ability to have the 2 items under other categories?

If you set their structures up like in the document, if Child A is rented, Child B will still be available for a separate job; but the Parent Item A,B will be unavailable because, as per it's structure field, it needs one A to make an A,B.
If the parent is rented, all the child items will be unavailable for other bookings (This is why it's important to start by adding the "largest" unit first).
