How can we determine the total number of new quotes created by the customer, compared to last year?

I'd like to see the growth in customer-generated quotes, but havent come across an 'automatic' way to find out.
Is there such a thing?

In a perfect world, I'd also like to eliminate duplicate (or close variations of the same quote) from the totals...some customers click and click and click and generate 10, 15 quotes.

I don't think we have a report or a report column for that. I'll talk with the team about adding a "created by" column so that you can run reports with it.
