Email / Newsletter Feature Questions/Request

1) Is there a way to send a mass-email (newsletter) to only a select group of customers? For example, we send out a 'rain policy is in effect' email the day before rain is forecasted. Instead of sending out 30-40 individual emails, it would be convenient to manually send it to all of them at once. I know I can generate a report and filter it accordingly, copy and paste the emails into our email program, and go from there...but I am wondering if there's any built-in functionality similar to that?

2) On the email subject, I know you mentioned eventually being able to see bounced emails...is that still in the works? If we type an email in wrong, we have no way of knowing until the customer calls us asking why we never sent a quote!

3) I'd love to be able to send auto-emails but have them sent based on certain filters (filters like delivery type or rentals/items). For example, an email 2 days before customer pickups reminding them to bring an appropriate vehicle...or 2 days before an event with our game truck reminding the customer we need a 60'x20' space. I dont want to send these emails to everyone if they dont apply to everyone...nor do I want to clutter our existing emails (too much info = people dont read it).

1) This is possible using Lead Filters, then applying a filter to an auto-email. Save a copy of an auto-email to create multiple types.

2) You can see bounced emails on the log tab of a lead. There isn't a report yet for this.

3) Same as 1

I sent a few emails as tests and they show as being sent but never opened...yet I sent them to email addresses I know are invalid. How can I tell if they bounced-back due to a bad email in the log?

An email may not be marked as "read" if the customer's email client doesn't display the images in the email.

You'll see an entry in the Email Log of the Lead with email type as Bounced.

I've tried a few times though to email to bad email addresses like gbgerobg@erjerkber.com, and it just shows it as not read but nowhere indicates a bounce...

You'll have to email me a recent specific lead and I can look at it for you.

That lead you have two emails in the customer email...I don't think it will show bounces correctly for that. Also, if the email address you sent to is different than what is in that customer email box than the bounce won't show on that lead's log.

Obviously we could improve this some, but currently that is how it works.
