Damage waiver not adding fee on quote request page

Matthew I. shared this problem 6 years ago
Solved

I've added the optional field "damage insurance" and added it to the lead tab for events and also the quote request page for customer facing option.

When selected on the lead tab, the fee gets added correctly; however, when a customer checks it on the quote request page it doesn't add the fee.

Can you assist?

Thanks

I have fixed it. It wasn't quite setup right on the quote page.

Thank you for your help with this!

I also added it to the quote confirm page in Event Information under Delivery Type. I'd like it to say either "Damage Insurance: Yes" or "Damage Insurance: No". Currently, it says "Yes" when it's selected but it says "0" instead of "No when it's not selected.

Is there any way to add a line in the price breakdown in the top left that specifically says "Damage Insurance" instead of just embedding it into other fees?

Thanks for your help

Also I added a Damage Insurance field on the contract itself, which calls whether or not the event has it or not. It works when Yes is selected but is blank when it's not selected. Can we default this variable field to say "No" unless it is selected so the customer sees there is none?

One last thing (sorry)... you helped us with a custom section on the contract a while back where it displays different text based on delivery type of the event. For the customer pick-up option, can we also display the following (under the current custom verbiage) for orders that are customer pick-up delivery type AND have chosen to opt out of insurance: "You have chosen to opt out of Damage/Cleaning Insurance. All equipment must be returned clean without any damages or a charge may be incurred"

The next release will show No instead of zero. That will be out next week. I've fixed your quote confirm and contract templates to list the fees properly.

I've also added the custom text about the damage. Thanks.

Should the new text be showing up now or after the release? I just tried a test lead without damage insurance and the contract is not displaying it.

The damage waiver shows up on the contract but I'm not seeing the custom text anywhere. I've tried toggling on/off the waiver but can't seem to get it to show up.

Sorry, I think maybe we're talking about 2 different things. What do you mean by "custom text?" I see a line item in the contract for "Damage & Cleaning Insurance" in your contract that has the fee. Feel free to email us screen shots to support@inflatableoffice.com if that's easier.

I see the following text on the contract template but I can't for the life of me get it to show on an actual contract...

~~*custom-Damage_Insurance*==0~You have chosen to opt out of Damage/Cleaning Insurance. All equipment must be returned clean without any damages or a charge may be incurred.~ ~~

Again, this would just be for those customer pickup orders who choose to not get the damage/cleaning waiver.

I changed it to ~~*custom-Damage_Insurance*==No for you

Ah, great. Thank you!

It looks like this custom verbiage is being displayed on dt:Delivered orders (it should only be for customer pickup). Reference Lead# 3241583.

Would you mind taking a look? I'm wondering if something got removed from the code at some point by accident.

Thanks in advance.

I looked at the contract for the lead above, but it seemed fine to me. What text should not be there?

The custom text "You have chosen to opt out of Damage/Cleaning Insurance. All equipment must be returned clean without any damages or a charge may be incurred." should not be displayed on contracts of dt:Delivered.

It should be displayed on contracts where dt:Customer Pick-up and also where the damage insurance has not been selected. I think the damage insurance piece is working but the delivery type is not having any effect on whether or not this text gets shown or not.

What if the customer has chosen customer pick-up, and they have also selected the damage waiver as yes? It seems like maybe the delivery type should cue a different phrase.
