Customer Comments
Answered
If a customer leaves a comment on a quote/reservation, it get printed on the Contract because it is an Event Note. If they make these comments or questions but also complete the process and sign the agreement the only way to get this to not print is to edit the contract and move or remove the comment/question. Then you have to regenerate the contract and have them sign it again.
Is there a way this can be a check box to print or not print these Event Notes? Or have them populate another field, other than the Event Notes?
This doesn't happen often, but I just printed a contract for a customer with a long question about how last years reservation was priced and handled. I don't need this on this years contract.
Comments get appended to the "Event Notes" field. The only way around this is to use "additional notes" in Settings->Optional Fields, (which you are currently using for other fields). In your contract template, instead of having *eventnotes* populate into the contract, switch that for the *additionalnotes1* or *additionalnotes2* which will only ever have exactly what you type in them, not the customer comments. We don't currently have any more additional notes fields than you are using though.

I had this same question a while back and have to update our forms over the winter to make this work also. Could there not be a field change that we cant have as optional changes etc.
My thoughts behind this is.. a notes field that only the client can fill in with no edit possibilities on our end. This would become a huge tool to track things they requested etc via the online portal not just email. I personally think a locked field for just those type of comments would be better then swapping field names around and using the additional fields for client notes... IMO
